① Chips, integrated circuits and semiconductor materials

A chip is an integrated circuit packaged into a sheet, and the integrated circuit is divided into a semiconductor integrated circuit and a membrane integrated circuit. Among them, semiconductor integrated circuits are manufactured from semiconductor materials.

Semiconductor materials are a class of materials whose electrical conductivity is between conductor and insulator. When it is machined into an integrated circuit, extremely tiny circuit patterns are etched onto the material.

② Requirements for thermal insulation materials for semiconductor monocrystalline silicon growth

Semiconductor materials are silicon, germanium, gallium arsenide, gallium nitride, indium phosphide, silicon carbide and so on.

Taking the most common silicon as an example, the purity of semiconductor grade silicon needs to reach 99.9999999% (9 Nines) or more. To obtain such high purity silicon, polycrystalline silicon is first melted at high temperatures and grown into monocrystalline silicon rods.

In the crystal growth process, heat control is the most basic, need to use low thermal conductivity insulation materials; At the same time, in order to reduce the impact of impurities on the crystal, the ash content of the thermal field components and insulation materials must be controlled, such as reaching less than 50ppm; If the long crystal furnace uses induction heating, it is necessary to control the resistance of the thermal field components and reduce the spontaneous heat of the thermal insulation material caused by eddy current induction, and it is necessary to use a high resistivity thermal insulation material.
